Creator Publishing

From a new account to your first published post

Five steps. Each one takes a few minutes, and you can stop and come back — this page always picks up where you left off.

Checking where you are…

  1. next up

    Open a publishing account

Use email and a password, or Google. Your platform account securely carries your Creator Publishing access.

  2. later

    Turn on creator access

Access opens the publication flow, the post editor, Why This Score and your dashboard. Nothing is charged during the preview. Reading anyone's publication never needs it, and if access is ever switched off your published posts stay up — only the editor and dashboard lock.

  3. later

    Name your publication

A name, a web address, a short description of what readers can expect, your sections and an accent colour. The address is permanent and unique, so pick the one you want to put on a business card.

  4. later

    Write your first post

Title, an optional standfirst, your section, and the body. Save a draft as often as you like. Choose who can read it: open to everyone, subscribers only, or open for the first three paragraphs with the rest behind a subscription.

Available once you have a publication.
  5. later

    Publish it

Press publish and the post goes live on your publication page straight away. A first pass runs over it and records the same set of figures readers see on any piece — what kind of writing it is, how closely the headline matches the body, and whether it carries sponsorship language.

Those figures are recorded, never a verdict on you. Why This Score, private to a post's authors, shows the reason behind each one and lets you revise and run it again. An opinion piece with nothing checkable in it sits at the neutral default rather than being marked down.

Available once you have a post to publish.

What comes after your first post

  • Readers. Anyone can follow free, or take a monthly, annual or founding subscription. Your publication is listed in the directory as soon as it has a post.
  • Co-authors. Writers you add to a publication can write and publish in it. Only the person who started it can change who is on it.
  • Your dashboard. Followers, subscribers and a panel showing where a post's figures came from, so you can see what to tighten next time.

Recorded by the same classification engine that reads monitored coverage, with the same rules. It describes what the piece says and how it is put together — it never rates the writer or the publication, framing is never a trust signal, and an empty measurement is an empty entry, not a finding.
